This academic article offers a comprehensive analysis of the role of critical raw materials (CRMs) in Ukraine within the context of the European Union's strategic autonomy and its goals of a green and digital transition. It's been determined that integrating Ukraine's rich mineral resources, supported by initiatives like the Ukraine Facility Program, can significantly strengthen the resilience of European CRM supply chains, which are essential for modern technologies. The article outlines challenges and future prospects for the country's integration into the European raw materials value chain. The scientific novelty lies in its interdisciplinary approach, which combines geopolitical, economic, and geological aspects to address the CRM issue in Ukraine. It proposes ways to overcome reliance on outdated data, verify the reserves of critical/strategic minerals in Ukraine, and attract investments.
